There are some experiences we all share in life. Even though we lead different lives, so much of what we encounter is similar. Many times, when I pull up to a stop light, waiting in traffic, looking around, I see someone holding a sign, maybe asking for money. Other times I might see someone on the street that looks way different than I do …. What thoughts go through my mind? What shapes the way I see others?  Is it based on the way I see myself?  Is it with compassion wondering what they have been through? Is it in judgment?  Where does my response come from?  I hope you will join us as we look at a similar situation from Luke 7.  Not much has changed from biblical time until now.  What is the key to seeing those situations as they truly are?  I look forward to exploring one such encounter between Simon, a sinner, the crowd, and Jesus.
