Most of us are fighting battles we do not fully understand. The story of Gideon in Judges 7 reveals that the real conflict in our lives is not natural but spiritual. God deliberately reduced Gideon's army from 32,000 men to just 300 so that when victory came, no one could take the credit but Him. He often strips away what we lean on naturally so that we are forced to lean on Him supernaturally. Gideon's unlikely battle plan, torches, clay pots, and trumpets, produced a supernatural result because it was rooted in obedience rather than human strategy. The goal of spiritual warfare is not personal victory. It is the glory of God. When your life produces outcomes that cannot be explained by your own effort or resources, people take notice. God is not looking for the most qualified. He is looking for those willing to trust Him enough to take the next step of faith.
