Mission - Vision - values

Mission Statement:

Kure Beach First Baptist Church exists to worship God as creator and redeemer, and to love others as Christ has loved us. Guided by Scripture and the Holy Spirit, we make disciples of Christ by reaching our community, our region, and the world with the Gospel.

We do this by demonstrating God’s love through words, actions, and prayer, inviting them to become disciples of Jesus. We commit to spiritual growth, equipping leaders, and strengthening ministries, so that every member can live out their faith, leading others to Christ.

Vision Statement:

“Worship God, Love people, Grow in Christ-likeness”

Values:

  1. KBFBC values the worship of God as the eternal creator of all that is (Genesis 1 & 2, Matthew 22:37-38) and as the redeemer of all who surrender to him for salvation. (Romans 1:7, Hebrews 9:15, 2 Peter 3:9, John 1:12-13, John 3:16.)
  2. KBFBC values demonstrating the love of God to all people, near and far, through words and actions, in order that they may know God’s offer of redemption through Christ. Matthew 22:39, Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8.
  3. KBFBC values making disciples of Jesus Christ as we intentionally engage people from a pre-christian state all the way to becoming a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 2:42-47, 2 Timothy 2:2.
  4. KBFBC values large group gatherings of the church and small group gatherings throughout our community. Large group gatherings happen at our Sunday Worship Services. Small group gatherings happen in various Community Groups that meet throughout the week for fellowship, discipleship, serving and mutual support. KBFBC is one Church of many Community Groups. Acts 2:42-47.
  5. KBFBC values biblical reproduction. Reproduction from the most basic of Christian virtues as the Fruit of the Spirit, to the reproduction of the believer, to the reproduction of spiritual leaders, to the reproduction of ministries and mission, then to the reproduction of the church itself. Acts 1:8, Galatians 5:22-23, Paul’s ministry in the book of Acts.
